Apple has launched iPhone SE and a new version of its iPad Pro. The iPhone SE is short for “special edition”. It is a smaller version of the iPhone and will sport a 4-inch screen size like earlier model iPhone 5S, but will be powered by the processor of iPhone 6S. It has a 12MP iSight camera, as well as panorama up to 63MP. It can capture live photos and 4K video.

The release ensures that Apple is a stronger competitor in the low-priced, mid-performance phone space, very popular in crucial smartphone markets like India and China. The 16GB ‘SE’ model is priced at $399 which about N119,700 and has been billed as Apple’s cheapest ever smartphone.

Orders for the ‘SE’ will open on March 24th while it will go on full sale on March 31st. Apple has also launched new operating system ‘iOS 9.3’ which can be downloaded immediately on Apple devices.

The smaller version of the iPad Pro was also released. It will have the same 9.7-inch screen as the current iPad. The 32GB version is priced at $599, roughly N179,700

The  also announced that their operations run on 93% renewable energy; they also claim that the iPhone can be used to diagnose autism in children
