Have you wondered what has been going on with your various mobile phone chargers? You have changed many chargers to no avail because they either take a long time to charge your phone or they add nothing to your battery. I earlier made a post on why your phone do not charge.
Ampere is an Android utility app that evaluates which charger or USB cable is working the best for you on the same device. It helps you to know how a charger or USB cable charges your device really fast and why the other do not. This is a practical relief to someone who has been in the stress of disappointments from mobile phone chargers.
I have had issues with chargers even at the time of writing this post. With Ampere, I was able to find out the reasons behind my sluggish battery chargers. I tested three chargers on the same phone with this app and they all gave three different but consistent charging current.
From the images above, it has minimum and maximum charging current. They means the minimum and maximum amount of electrical current the charger can get from an electric source. If your battery rates 1260mAh, it means how much electric charge your battery can hold when charged. From the image above, the higher the minimum and maximum current charge, the faster the time it will take to charge full. Avoid chargers that give same charging current and discharging current. The one with lower charging current might probably add nothing to your battery just like in the third image.
If your phone is not connected to a charger, you see the discharging current which is negative. If you connect a charger then the current what the charger gives will be used to supply your phone and the remaining power will be charged into the battery. From the image, mine showed -460mAh. This app is free and requires no root privilege. This app is very simple to use. Just install, open and test!
Why you should use Ampere
If you are going for a charger replacement, ampere helps you determine the best charger for your battery. You should consider the charger that gives a considerable high current charging. This app also tells you which charger gives an over voltage. It also shows you the temperature of the battery, voltage, battery health and more.
