Let’s say that you have waited to grab a version of Nougat updates for your Infinix smartphone but yet to find any updates available for your device. Currently, major Nougat updates are available in beta versions either beta one, beta two or three.
If you are yet to update Nougat Beta Version for your Infinix then this post is for you. On the other way round, you may still find this useful.
I have come across some problems associated with Infinix Hot 4. These problems are part of the issues encountered as a result of updating to Nougat beta versions for Infinix. Upgrading your device’s operating to available updates is really recommendable for new features and experience.
But here, the problem in updating operating systems (Marshmallow, Nougat,…) is usually from what release is available. Infinix uses a customized firmware from Android. There are various stages in software release as pertain to Infinix which include beta versions and stable versions.
Why not update Nougat Beta Version
At the moment, Infinix has adopted these stages in its Marshmallow and Nougat updates – beta 1, beta 2, beta 3 and sometimes stable version. As you know, Nougat beta versions for Infinix phones are currently under maintenance and fixes. That’s why some users experience malfunctions after updates.
Conventionally, Alpha and Beta versions are liable for issues. These versions are especially left for fans or group of people called the Beta testers. The main aim of beta versions is to test run the apps, codes or operating system before it will be released to stable version for public use. In short, beta versions are limited to test.
If you have updated to any of the Infinix Nougat beta versions for Infinix, and must have have come across some of these malfuntions functions below, then it is not a bad thing. It is official that beta versions can misbehave any time any day.
- Bluetooth and hotpot sometimes auto switch by themselves
- Fingerprint sensor not working properly
- Phone charges very slow
- Facebook fails to install even after factory reset
Stable versions of Nougat for all supported Infinix phones will be available at the end of July, 2017. Why just wait until first week of August to grab a stable updates for your device.
I hope you have found this guide helpful. You may read why your device may not receive latest Android updates at the same time.
